Full-Time | Northern New Jersey | $60,000–$90,000
A well-established mid-size law firm in Northern NJ is seeking an experienced Estate & Trust Paralegal to support a busy practice handling estate administration and related trust matters. This role involves working closely with attorneys and clients throughout all stages of the administration process.
Responsibilities

Prepare and file probate documents, including applications for estate representatives

Assist executors, administrators, and trustees with required bonding

Organize and maintain financial information to prepare fiduciary accountings

Manage timelines, deadlines, and document workflows involved in estate administration
-
Gather and coordinate asset information from clients and financial institutions
-
Draft a variety of estate-related documents, including releases, closing documents, and beneficiary forms

Prepare state and federal estate/inheritance/gift tax forms
-
Submit filings with surrogate courts and follow up as needed

Support trust funding by coordinating retitling of accounts and assets

3+ years of hands-on experience in trusts & estates or probate/estate administration

Strong understanding of estate administration procedures and fiduciary concepts

Experience preparing tax-related forms for estates or trusts

Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through

Ability to manage multiple matters and work independently

Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred

Valid driver’s license for occasional local travel
