The ideal candidate will have prior law firm collections, accounts receivable, and billing experience and possess strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills. This individual must be comfortable partnering with attorneys and clients to resolve aged receivables, improve cash flow, and support overall revenue objectives.

Senior Collections Coordinator position responsibilities are:
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with attorneys and clients to support effective collection efforts
  • Develop a thorough understanding of collection practices and collaborate with attorneys and management to document collection strategies and account activity
  • Coordinate attorney and client follow-up efforts to resolve aged accounts receivable
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for complex collection matters, including account maintenance, reporting, and collection documentation
  • Partner with the Billing Manager and finance team to support best practices in billing and collections
  • Analyze accounts receivable reports and financial data to identify trends and recommend strategies to improve cash flow and collection performance
  • Assist with year-end close activities and ensure collection and billing deadlines are met accurately and timely
  • Respond professionally and promptly to inquiries from attorneys, clients, and internal departments
  • Participate in department meetings and remain current on firm policies, procedures, and collection best practices
  • Provide support across billing, cash receipts, collections, and special finance-related projects as needed

Senior Collections Coordinator position requirements are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
  • 3-5+ years of law firm accounts receivable, billing, and collections experience
  • Experience working directly with attorneys regarding collection strategy and client communications
  • Strong understanding of legal billing and collection processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong follow-up, organizational, and time management abilities
  • Advanced attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with legal accounting systems such as Aderant, Intapp, or similar platforms preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding firm, client, and financial information
