Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Salary: $85,000 – $125,000
About the Opportunity
Our client, a highly respected full-service law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its New York City office. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Litigation Paralegal who enjoys handling sophisticated commercial litigation matters from inception through trial while working alongside accomplished attorneys in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

The ideal Litigation Paralegal will have strong experience in both New York State and Federal Courts and be comfortable managing multiple complex litigation matters in a fast-paced practice.

Responsibilities
As a Litigation Paralegal, you will:

  • Support attorneys through all phases of litigation from case inception through trial.

  • Prepare pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and discovery responses.

  • Assist with motion practice, legal cite-checking, and Bluebook formatting.

  • Coordinate and manage document productions and e-discovery.

  • Conduct document review and factual analysis.

  • Prepare deposition materials, hearing binders, trial notebooks, witness files, and exhibits.

  • Electronically file documents through NYSCEF and PACER/ECF.

  • Coordinate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal departments.

  • Track litigation deadlines and maintain case calendars.

  • Perform legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms.

  • Provide trial support during hearings and trials.
Qualifications
The successful Litigation Paralegal will have:

  • 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm.

  • Experience handling matters in both New York State and Federal Courts.

  • Strong knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) and New York CPLR.

  • Experience with NYSCEF and PACER/ECF electronic filing.

  • Experience using e-discovery platforms.

  • Strong trial preparation and trial support experience.

  • Excellent drafting, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Westlaw, LexisNexis, and document management systems such as iManage.

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
