Landlord Tenant Collections Paralegal
Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Landlord Tenant Collections Paralegal with a growing real estate development firm in the New Brunswick, NJ area (zip code 08901).
Position responsibilities are:
- Help prepare landlord/tenant complaints and file on eCourts
- Assist lawyers by researching legal precedent, investigating facts or preparing legal documents for trial
- Prepare collections cases, including demand letters, special civil complaints, judgments, information subpoenas, motions to enforce litigants right, bank levies, wage garnishment, etc.
- Scan files into electronic copies for future reference
- Assist with scheduling and updating attorney calendars
Position requirements are:
• At least 2-5 years of experience is required
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Detail-oriented
• Experience with Commercial Litigation, Collections, Evictions, and Bankruptcy.
