Immigration Paralegal - Hybrid opportunity!
Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for an Immigration Paralegal with a well-established immigration law firm in the Newark, New Jersey area known for its collaborative firm culture. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a firm with a very nice entrepreneurial firm culture. This is a hybrid opportunity, three days in the office and two from home per week following an onboarding period.
Candidates must have at least 4 years of prior experience supporting attorneys with employment based immigration cases, including PERM experience.
Immigration Paralegal Key Responsibilities Are:
- Manage a caseload of employment based immigration cases.
- Prepare and organize H-1B petitions, supporting documents, and related filings for review by supervising attorneys.
- Draft and file forms and documents with DOL (including ETA Forms 9141 and 9035), and other government agencies as required.
- Identify and escalate legal or procedural issues to supervising attorneys when appropriate.
- Participate in firm initiatives related to the integration of legal technology and process improvements, including AI tools, Excel, and legal research platforms.
- Communicate directly with corporate clients regarding case status, requirements, and strategy.
Immigration Paralegal Requirements Are:
- At least 4 years of related experience with PERM cases including familiarity with DOL, USCIS, and PERM processing procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
- Strong technical skills including proficiency with MS Office and case management systems.
