Family Law Paralegal - Hybrid opportunity
Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Family-Law Paralegal with a growing law firm in the River Edge, NJ. area ((Zip Code 07661). The Family Law Paralegal will provide support to 1-2 attorneys. Prior experience supporting attorneys with family law cases in a law firm environment is required for this role. This is a hybrid opportunity - 3 days in the office and 2 from home per week following a 90 day onboarding period

Family Law Paralegal Position responsibilities will include:
- Document preparation, including briefs, pleadings, interrogatories, subpoenas, affidavits, and letters, as well as legal correspondence
- E filing as well as maintaining and updating electronic and hard copy files
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, coordinating client meetings, filing motions, and coordinating witnesses.
- Serve as a liaison between clients, opposing counsel, and court staff, including responding to client inquiries throughout the case
- Manage attorney calendars as well as scheduling for client meetings and court appearances
- Deliver or direct the delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and parties involved in legal actions.
- Meet yearly billing requirements (400 hours if assigned to one attorney, 495 hours if assigned to two).
Family Law Paralegal Position requirements are:
- At least two years of experience supporting attorneys with family law cases
- Excellent communication and client relations skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Highly organized and detail orientated
