Bankruptcy and Collections Paralegal
Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Bankruptcy and Collections Paralegal in the Westfield, NJ area.
Position responsibilities are:
- Handle commercial collections and bankruptcy cases from inception through resolution
- Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions and other litigation documents
- E-filing for mostly the state level with bankruptcy courts with some federal courts as well as word processing
- Represent clients, including court hearings and trials, including responding to inquiries
- Conduct legal research
- Work with other team members, including attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the best case outcome
Position requirements are:
- At least 7 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client relations skills
