Bankruptcy Paralegal - Hybrid opportunity
Job Description
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Bankruptcy Paralegal to join a growing law firm in the Livingston, NJ area (zip code 07039) known for its supportive team environment and genuine appreciation for each employee’s contributions. This is a hybrid opportunity, 4 days in the office and 1 day from home per week, following a 2-4 week onboarding period.

Bankruptcy Paralegal Position responsibilities will include:
- Prepare legal correspondence and documents including pleadings and discoveries
- Respond to inquiries from clients and the courts, schedule meetings and coordinate calendars
- File documents with courts and track and manage deadlines
- Review correspondence and proof-read documents, including exhibits
- Extensive knowledge of word processing and other computer programs to produce the attorneys work product, entering data, etc.
- Preparation and execution of documents, correspondence, cover sheets and reports and distribution of such documents;
- Coordinates monthly billing
- Maintain and update electronic and hard copy files
Bankruptcy Paralegal position requirements are:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bankruptcy Paralegal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Highly detail-orientated with demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize work and problem solve
- Excellent communication and client relations skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with tact and discretion
- Works well independently and as part of a team
