Job Description
As a Legal Conflicts & Intake Specialist, you’ll play a key role ensuring the firm takes on new clients and matters ethically and efficiently. This position blends research, data accuracy, and risk management to help attorneys avoid conflicts of interest and maintain client trust.
You’ll join a close-knit two-person team (Director + Analyst) within a respected full-service law firm headquartered in Northern New Jersey—a firm known for its collaborative culture, professional development, and long-term employee growth.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct thorough conflicts of interest searches for new clients and matters.
- Research, analyze, and document potential conflicts using firm systems.
- Communicate results and recommendations to attorneys and staff.
- Process new client and matter intake forms accurately and on deadline.
- Maintain data integrity across Intapp Conflicts and Aderant (training provided).
- Partner with the Director of Operations to enhance policies, workflows, and technology.
- Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and firm compliance standards.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of law-firm conflicts experience (required).
Corporate compliance or unrelated corporate experience is not a fit.
- Tech-savvy and able to learn new systems quickly.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a high-volume workload.
- Excellent communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience with Intapp Conflicts or Aderant.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $75,000–$90,000 (depending on experience)
- Status: Non-exempt, overtime eligible
