We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Paralegal with a law firm in Hackensack, New Jersey. We are looking for someone with transactional experience with Asset Purchase Agreements. THis position can be remote, however, the candidate does need to be within commuting distance of the Hackensack, NJ office when needed to be on-site.
Position responsibilities will include
- At least 5 years of experience with transactional work with Asset Purchase Agreements in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Must be detail orientated, an independent self-starter
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook

Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Paralegal with a law firm in Hackensack, New Jersey. We are looking for someone with transactional experience with Asset Purchase Agreements. THis position can be remote, however, the candidate does need to be within commuting distance of the Hackensack, NJ office when needed to be on-site.
Position responsibilities will include
- Prepare drafts of Asset Purchase Agreements and closing statements
- Review Asset Purchase Agreements for missing information and correspond with clients to gather missing information i.e. exhibits
- Prepare closing documents and checklist
- Order lien searches
- Communicate with franchisors regarding right of first refusal and prepare documentation
- Research local jurisdiction for tax clearance requirements and then execute the process for tax clearance
- Track status of the Asset Purchase Agreement and real estate sales and acquisitions including deadlines and timelines by creating and maintaining a master spreadsheet
- Coordinate weekly meetings with all attorneys and paralegals to discuss status updates on all client cases
- Assist clients with due diligence with lenders by utilizing loan closing checklist for clients who are buyers who are financing
- At least 5 years of experience with transactional work with Asset Purchase Agreements in a law firm or in-house legal department
