Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Litigation Paralegal with an established law firm in the Roseland, NJ area (zip code 07068). This is a very nice opportunity to work with attorneys in an entrepreneurial environment.
Position responsibilities are:
- Provide High level Trial preparation and support, as needed. (i.e. organize and index trial exhibits and other supporting documents, )
- Prepare documents needed for Depositions and summarize Deposition Transcripts for use by attorneys
- Review and gather relevant documents for Motions and other Court submissions
- Organize exhibits for Pleadings and other Court submissions
- Research relevant information on public records, witnesses, adversaries, arbitrators, mediators,
- Coordinate and file Pleadings with the Court
- Draft Interrogatories, Document Requests, Requests for Admissions, and Subpoenas
- Prepare and process Electronic Filings
- Draft letters to clients as well as Settlement Agreements
- Prepare Mediation Submissions
- Conduct legal research
Position requirements are:
- 4-6 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent technical skills including proficiency in MS Office and E-Discovery or other document software
