Job Description
We are seeking a highly competent and experienced General Manager of Human Resources for a major consumer products company in the Morris County, NJ area. The General Manager of Human Resources will assume responsibility for providing strategic direction and overseeing the company’s HR function. This position reports to the Senior GM of Finance and Administration who reports to the CEO.

- Collaborate with the management team to develop strategic HR plans and policies (including employee engagement, performance management, talent Management/organization restructuring, talent acquisition, compensation, and benefits and training)
- Develop and implement initiatives for equal opportunity and diversity programs as well as labor relations programs
- Re-engineer processes to ensure maximum efficiency (Digitization and Digital Transformation)
- Ensure all procedures comply with legal regulations and best practices
- Analyze the effectiveness of HR operations and policies
- Prepare reports for the CEO using business metrics and KPIs
- Oversee the work of HR Manager and HR Administrator
Position requirements and skills are:
- BSc/BA in business, HR, Law, social sciences or related field along with PHR/SHRM certification is required. Master’s Degree or MBA is preferred.
- At least 10 years of proven experience as a VP of HR or other Senior level HR in a corporate environment
- Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment, training, compensation, career plan, evaluation/appraisal, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience with reviewing and analyzing HR metrics and making recommendations to senior management
- Knowledge of HR local and international law
- Working knowledge of MS Office ADP, HRIS, and ERP systems (i.e. SAP, JD Edwards)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills along with strong problem-solving qualities
