Mid-size law firm in Somerset County, NJ
Full-time | On-site | $75,000–$85,000 DOE
Are you an experienced litigation assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented law firm? A respected and well-established mid-size law firm in Somerset County is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to support a senior litigation partner and assist with high-level case management.
This is a full-time, on-site position with occasional flexibility when personal needs arise. The firm is known for its excellent employee retention and collegial environment — most staff have been with the firm for over 20 years.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-level administrative and litigation support to a senior partner

Prepare, format, and electronically file legal documents (briefs, motions, etc.)

Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and answer phones professionally

Organize and maintain complex litigation files — both electronic and physical

Assist with trial prep and document management

Perform light paralegal tasks as needed, especially during colleague absences

Navigate court filing systems (state and federal) with ease
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 3–5 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic filing systems

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment

Self-starter with excellent judgment and communication skills

Familiarity with court protocols and filing procedures (no document management software used)
Additional Info:

This position reports directly to a senior partner

The current employee will stay on temporarily to provide full training and support during the transition

The ideal start date is mid-to-late July to allow for training overlap
