Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Human Resources Administrator with a growing law firm located in Hackensack, NJ (Zip code 07601).The HR Administrator will serve as an HR Business Partner/Generalist for the firm. This position does have flexibility to work from home one day per week.
Position responsibilities are:
- Design, develop and implement HR policies and procedures
- Benefits administration including open enrollment
- Payroll processing as well as Compensation administration
- Lead the full-cycle recruiting efforts for the firm
- Overseeing and executing onboarding process of new hires
- Handle employee relations including coaching and counseling of employees and advising senior leadership of employee relations issues
- Conduct investigations as needed
- Stay current on best practices and industry standards for employment law
- Participate in the organization of employee social events
- Maintain and update employee files, manuals and database and ensure they are in compliance with legal requirements.
Position requirements are:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- At least 5 years of HR Generalist experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and client relations skills with demonstrated ability to establish relationships and build rapport with internal stakeholders as well as maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office
